I have been waiting for months to finally be able to share this precious Signature Studio oil portrait painting I completed this summer! When we started this session, we originally were thinking we would do a head and shoulders pastel heirloom portrait for each child. But after seeing the full body Signature Oil portrait, their parents decided on the full portrait painting. We had a lot of fun capturing these reference images for each boy. Each child was photographed separately, so we could insure we got the best expressions and posture on them. Once we had settled on which pose would be used for each child, I got to work painting them into one piece of art. Oil portraits are a process, but they're so fun to tackle and I really enjoyed seeing this one come together.

A few months prior to this photography session, I happened upon an absolutely stunning, gold antique gallery frame. In talking to this client, I just knew it was the perfect complement to this portrait and her interior furnishings of her home. Once the painting was finished and fully cured, I custom framed it in that gorgeous frame and the results were stunning. I hope this precious family enjoys this beautiful oil portrait of their children for generations to come.
