HELLO!
I'm Dana and I am the photographer and portrait artist at Dana Ashlyn Photography in Garner, NC. I discovered my love of photography as a teenager when my father gave me his old Pentax SLR camera. I began my professional career in 2000 and launched Dana Ashlyn Photography in 2007. I have a passion for creating portrait art that never goes out of style. I believe in emotion-based and subject-centered photography, classic wardrobe and props, and professional, archival quality portrait products. I specialize in children, family and newborn photography, as well as classic children's heirloom portraits, portrait paintings and silhouette portraits.
Having been in the professional photography industry for nearly 2 decades, I have the knowledge and insight needed to create timeless images that won't go out of style in a few years. My goal with each of my clients is to put art in their hands that will weather the onslaught of time, and will be handed down as a legacy to their future generations ... and of course I want to accomplish that goal in a stress-free and fun way! I have worked with thousands of children and families through the years, and know how to put little ones and their families at ease.
I am a Raleigh native, and I'm happy to serve my hometown. I take portrait sessions throughout the greater Raleigh area, and am also available for remote photography sessions, including beach portrait sessions on NC beaches. I can't wait to work with your family!
