I am in love with this precious pastel heirloom portrait of this sweet little girl. She came earlier this year, along with her big sister, for a reference photo session for her pastel, and they knocked it out of the park. Choosing which photo to work from for her portrait painting was tough because she had so many unique expressions, but her mom and dad settled on this soft smile which perfectly showcases her bright, inquisitive eyes. Once I began painting her portrait, I focused on keeping that soft, dreamy look that her expression evokes. 

Working with families on their children's heirloom portraits is such a special and meaningful project. Knowing these portraits will be on their walls forever is humbling and I'm so thankful to be a part of capturing something so treasured.
