CARY CHILDREN'S PORTRAIT PAINTINGS
Oh my goodness, it's impossible not to smile looking at this sweet happy baby! I travelled to his family home just west of Cary to photograph the reference images for his pastel heirloom portrait. He was napping when I arrived, but after I had set up my mobile studio and visited with his brother for a few minutes, he was up and ready to go! He toddled right into my arms and we got down to the business of play and pictures. His proof set was absolutely darling, and choosing the image for his pastel heirloom portrait was a struggle. But his family settled on this absolutely joyful expression, and I could not love it more. I love how his eyes are smiling and sparkling, and those tiny brand new baby teeth are perfectly showcased in that sweet giggly grin. Precious portrait!
I provided the outfit for his portrait and this precious piece is courtesy of Lullaby Set, which is a perfect resource for heirloom style children's clothing for both boys and girls. While you're shopping for your children's heirloom portrait outfit, pay special attention to the collar. For head and shoulders style vignette portraits, the outfit below the chest won't show, but the collar is a focal point and should be a classic and simple design that isn't too bulky and is proportional to the child's shoulders. Color is also important, all heirloom vignette portraits should be in white, cream or pastel color palettes. Colors such as navy should be reserved for full body portrait paintings. As always, we stock a full client wardrobe of classic heirloom style clothing for both boys and girls in sizes 6m through 5t.
