My favorite thing about working as a children's portrait photographer in the Greater Raleigh area is creating meaningful relationships with the families I work with. It is such an honor to work with my clients over and over again throughout the years, and watch as their little ones grow up in front of my lens. I've been photographing this sweet girl since she was just a few days old, and was so thrilled to get to work on this special project. A few years back we had done a charcoal heirloom portrait for her as well as each of her two brothers. Those portraits have long stayed the family favorites, and are such soulful pieces of art. I was so excited when her mom reached out to me wanting to schedule another set of charcoals for each child now. Her plan is to also do a third and last round of heirloom portraits at some point in the future, giving each child three special portraits captured in three different chapters of their childhoods. Eventually all 9 portraits will hang together; a glimpse of all those years.
