RALEIGH STUDIO BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHER
I recently had the pleasure of capturing a remarkable 10-year-old boy for his charcoal heirloom portrait. I set up a small mobile studio in his family home in a charming neighborhood of old Raleigh. We knew we wanted to create a timeless black and white heirloom vignette portrait for him and the result was a masterpiece.
He was so natural and photogenic in front of my lens, and this image in particular really reflects his personality and sweet disposition. Once I had completed his charcoal artwork, his portrait was printed on museum-grade hand-torn cotton and float mounted against pure cotton. It was then fully custom framed in an Italian moulding that was carefully chosen to complement the subject and the surroundings of his family home. With every detail meticulously attended to, the finished piece was delivered, ready to hang.
Each heirloom portrait holds a story, and I was honored to be part of his. His portrait is not just a photograph but a timeless work of art that paused this moment in his childhood forever. It serves as a reminder of the power of heirloom photography to freeze moments and evoke emotions that will be cherished for a lifetime.
