Being a photographer in Raleigh for over 16 years, there are moments that really make you think about how quickly time passes. Such was the case during a recent photography session where I had the privilege of capturing senior portraits for a young man I've been photographing since he was a little four-year-old.

Watching this young man grow from a preschooler to a poised high school senior has been such a sweet experience. As a family photographer, I've been fortunate enough to see his growth yearly when photographing his family's tradition of a fall photo shoot. But this milestone was all about him, and not just his physical growth but the excitement of someone stepping into the next chapter of his life.

As a photographer, the experience of watching a subject as they grow up over the years is humbling; it is way more than a job or a click of a shutter. So thankful to this family for all these year of watching their family grow and change. It's been a remarkable journey that began with a four-year-old in front of my lens and continues into the exciting chapter of senior year.
