CHILDREN'S HEIRLOOM PORTRAIT PAINTINGS, RALEIGH NC
Heirloom portrait paintings are one of our signature art pieces.
When inquiring about these children's portraits, we hear similar feedback from so many of our clients: "We take photographs all the time, but we don't have anything like this." and "There is something so timeless about these, they're just different than other pictures". Heirloom portrait paintings are different from other pictures. While creating this beautiful art piece, I have been very intentional about simplicity and holding true to classic and timeless portraiture that will always be in style. So many things have inspired that for me - a large influence has been realizing what a cluttered and stressful world we live in, and choosing to embrace a little more of a minimalist lifestyle and approach to my art. I realized through that process that digital clutter is absolutely clutter, which lead to the reality that most photographs now only exist in digital format. That is where my heart really started pulling me to create sustainable, heirloom art for these children. Even though little ones today are more photographed than any other generation, the representation of those images in tangible form on the walls of our homes is almost non-existent; it's far less than our generation and generations before us. At the heart and soul of it all, that is what drove me to create this product. Every child deserves to have one archival quality, classic portrait of themselves that they will have the rest of their lives. I also wanted heirloom portraits to be a stress-free photography session. They are actually very simple, quick and easy for young children - far easier than a typical portrait session. Heirloom portraits are a head and shoulders image with a relaxed expression; it's not stressful at all and typically only requires about 10 minutes for each child. Furthermore, I have been photographing children for nearly 2 decades, so I know how to put littles at ease. This is one of the easiest but most beautiful pieces of art we create for our clients.
Heirloom portrait paintings can be photographed in my studio in Garner, or on location throughout the greater Raleigh, NC area.
