Joyner Park in Wake Forest is such a pretty setting for family photography sessions. This particular portrait session was three kids I photograph annually and have watched grow up in front of my lens. Their photo shoots always blend more candid moments with more traditional portraits. Our yearly tradition of a hand-in-hand walking portrait started when they were just toddlers and little kids, and continues even now as a reminder of their connection. Each year brings new milestones and changes of dynamics between them. Seeing that evolution in their yearly photo shoot is a visual reminder of how much changes in just a year's time. This is one of my favorite things about being a family photographer - watching families grow and change in front of my lens, but the heart of it all is the same. Soon their oldest will graduate and new, exciting things will be on the horizon! I just can't believe how grown up this trio is getting to be. They are kind and funny and always the best subjects, and I am so lucky to have been just a tiny part of documenting their journey through the years.
