This precious little one came in for his newborn photography session a few weeks ago. I had so much fun working with him and visiting with his mom and dad. I took his big brother's newborn photos a couple of years ago. I love getting to photograph siblings at the same milestones; seeing their similarities and differences is always so interesting and it's a privilege to pause these moments for their families. 

It took us a little while to get this sweet boy sleeping, but once he drifted off, he knocked his portraits out of the park. My favorite images are those where baby is cradled lovingly in the arms of those who love him most. So often the most meaningful images are the simplest. Having been a photographer in the greater Raleigh area for the last 2 decades, my goal in creating newborn and baby portraits is always to capture images that are uncluttered and will never go out of style. Black and white photographs especially have such a timeless and classic presentation for portraits. For newborn photography especially, it's important that I hand over images to my clients that perfectly showcase all those tiny details they want to remember forever about their new baby. Doing so without distracting elements or trendy styling keeps these portraits timeless and able to be enjoyed forever.
