AUTUMN CHILDREN'S PORTRAITS - RALEIGH, DURHAM
Even though it definitely still feels like summertime, there are more and more tiny hints that autumn will be here soon. This year has moved both in warp speed and in slow motion. 2020 will go down in history as memorable, that's for sure. I'm looking forward to a little less humidity, if nothing else. I also just really love taking portraits in the fall. Each family photography session is met with crisp, clean air, and fallen leaves that crunch under our feet as we chase giggling littles through the park. Cold air, warm hearts; everything is cozy and familiar. Once we start up with fall photo sessions, we'll move all around the Raleigh and Cary area, chasing the perfect foliage. It's so much fun! Yes, we have weeks left of summer portraits, and we will continue to enjoy the later sunsets and the barefooted children chasing fireflies as we wrap up their evening session... but autumn always starts to pull at my soul this time of year.
